Welcome To My Neighbourhood

A couple of photos that I happened to take on my way to work today.

First up, some grafitti has appeared around Harvard Square with the legend “SANTA IS REAL”. Isn’t that cheery?

Santa Is Real

Secondly, a rather odd notice spotted taped to an abandoned CVS in Central Square:

Lost shoe

I hate it when I lose my breasts.

Froogle

Google have launched a new online-store searching system, the punningly-named Froogle.

I guess I had high hopes for something engineered by those bright sparks, but it still has one of the same major problems that most other of these engines have: It fails to take punctuation in a model number into account. For example a search for HBH-30 should hopefully also give the same results as a search for HBH30.

Come on (Fr|G)oogle!

Google News Bookmarklet

The LazyWeb in action… For Danny:

newssearch

Drag that link to your Bookmark Toolbar, then when you’re reading a news story, click the button to be transported to Google’s list of similar articles.
