RSI Reduction
Today’s NTK linked to a project called WorkRave, a tool to help keybard-jockeys such as myself avoid RSI by running timers telling you to take a break.
It has many kewl features, not least the fact that it networks across multiple PCs, so it can track when I’m spending time on my Linux box instead of my main PC.
One thing it is lacking, though, is Mac OSX support. The backend code should run OK, but it’d need a front-end. Perhaps a Konfabulator widget? (Summoning the awesome power of the LazyWeb. Come in LazyWeb)
Beeblogging
This weblog written by the BBC‘s reporters is just amazing. Real-time eyewitness updates from journalists stationed around the world. An RSS feed is sorely missing, but Syndirella users can use this web feed.
Syndirella Subscribe Bookmarklet
A useful tool for Syndirella users: Drag this bookmarklet onto your browser’s Links bar.
Syndirella Subscribe
Now, when you’re reading a blog in your browser, just hit the button, and Syndirella’s feed discovery will try to subscribe to it.
Judge a Book by Its Cover
According to the people browsing EasyMixing, I would rather watch “American Pie” than “Casablanca”, and prefer reading “Maxim” to the “New York Times”.
How judgmental. How fun!
