Last of the FMs
I’ve been submitting to Audioscrobbler for quite a while now, but have only just discovered the wonders of Last.FM. It’s everything Launchcast used to be—Personal-opinion-driven radio, analysing your tastes and those of other people’s to provide you a playlist of music you probably will enjoy. Nifty stuff.
I cannot imagine life without the IMDB. Truly one of the most indispensible things on the planet.
Cool encrypted anonymization system, fulfilling many of the promises of Peek-a-booty.
This makes me sad, cause they wuz ace.
At my last job (huge scary bank), I did exactly this to keep my email and surfing private.

Shameless Pluggery - Just a Minute
I just wrote the promotional blurb for a show I’m presenting in Boston this month, so I figured I’d post it here:
For over 35 years, British radio listeners have enjoyed the classic game show Just A Minute. Now, following an uproarious showing at a Culpepper Jamboree in February, it returns to ImprovBoston‘s stage. Local improvisers, comedians and wits will regale you with stories and anecdotes regarding topics as diverse as “Donuts”, “The 1812 Overture” and “Alan Turing”, all whilst avoiding the deadly sins of repetition,
hesitation or deviation.
We’re playing every Wednesday night in August at 8pm as part of ’“The Hump”(ImprovBoston – ImprovBoston Online)’:http://www.improvboston.com/php/mod.php?mod=userpage&menu=2108&page_id=54, and tickets are a scant $5. Come along if you’re in the area.
(Oh, and no-one tell the BBC please. They might frown.)

I’ve long felt that Technorati is the buggy, faulty, but well-PR-managed little cousin of Blogdex and Daypop.
