Call Me Fishmeal.: NEWS FLASH! Adobe Hides Customer Information!
Sums up how I feel about the whole fucking stupid “email addresses stored in iTunesPlus files” storm in a teacup. I’m ashamed to be an EFF supporter sometimes.

Hey, don't be ashamed!
I haven't been part of all of this conversation, but I get the feeling that EFF has just been probing to see what's in the iTunesPlus files, for a bunch of reasons (for instance, what bits of this data is it legal to remove? Personal data is okay to take out, I believe according to 17 U.S.C. 1202 <http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/17/usc...> but other data wouldn't be. So how do you define which is which?)
Anyway, as part of that process, a lot of media picked up on our examination and started asking us about the privacy implications.
The big giveaway when you're following these stories is whether we've put out a press release or a media advisory on the topic. That means that EFF is *pissed*. Otherwise, it's usually the media pursuing the story and reaching to us for a quote, which they may or may not turn into an accurate story.
