Gardening of a Saturday Afternoon
Now, I don't want to suggest that our back garden (sorry, "yard") is neglected. But when Joy decided to weed the garden this afternoon, the main tool at use? Our hedge trimmer.
Beat my suggestion of a can of petrol and a fire extinguisher, I suppose.

This looks interesting — A financial community site (lots of forums and tipster blogs) which will offer zero commission stock trades. They apparently plan to make the money with advertising.

Pyrotechnics Wednesday 10:59 pm 9/20/06
The grand finale for the Stones gig, ending at 11pm precisely.
Truly rock'n'roll at its most punctual.
The Rolling Stones, Gillette Stadium. Wednesday 9:36 pm 9/20/06
I managed to nab some free tickets to tonight's Stones gig in Foxborough. We were up in the nosebleediest of nosebleeds, but for free, we weren't complaining.
The BBC’s filming a 10-year anniversary episode of the superb soapdrama “This Life”. Hope they don’t screw it up, because This Life was one of my favouritist dramas ever.

Joel rips into the craptacular experience of the new Sprint phone. I bet the PR bod who figured sending free phones to bloggers was a great idea is regretting it.
It’s Like a Podcast, Only Delivered Wirelessly.
Earlier this evening, I wanted to listen to my local NPR station to hear the results of today’s gubernatorial primary in Massachusetts.
So I grabbed my laptop, went to wbur.org, clicked through to the “Listen Live’ page, copied the link to their online stream to my clipboard, went to my Squeezebox control web page, selected “Radio Tune In”, pasted in the WBUR streaming URL, and hit Listen. Simple!
And as the LED display in the room lit up with “WBUR 90.9 FM, BOSTON”, it occurred to me belatedly that the RhymesWithNose sound system in my living room has an FM radio built-in.
This FM thing could really take off, you know.

Icons you can copy to spruce up your Mario Kart. Of course, you still require a modicum of artistic talent to copy these to your DS.
