NFL Wants To Trademark A Euphemism For Its Trademark
“The league has sought to forbid advertisers from saying things like “Get a new color TV in time for the Super Bowl!”, so instead they have to use euphemisms like “The Big Game” instead. BBC NEWS | Deal ends Beatles' Apple battle
It’s interesting that this news has been released today, when there were (inaccurate) rumblings a month ago that there would be a Beatles iPod commercial during last night’s Superbowl. Makes you wonder if it was planned but pulled.
