Finite state machines, the video game. Currently sapping productivity at Slide.
Holy crap, this is a cunning hack! Renders (some) SWFs in browser without the Flash plugin, using Canvas and JavaScript. Works (albeit somewhat slowly) on iPhones and iPads. Gonna be interesting to see if Adobe buy this up.
Glitch, the forthcoming multiplayer game from some ex-Flickr-folks. Looks gorgeous, although my MacBook’s fan is already whirring at the prospect of all that Flash gameplay.
Holy shit! SWFs rendered without a plugin. Obviously, this has limited use at the moment, but there’s some great potential for allowing Flash devs to make animations that run on iPhones’ web browsers.

Mocking^2 Bird
Mockingbird, a new wireframe webapp, boasts:
Powered by Cappuccino: no Flash needed.
John Gruber writes:
It’s a true web app (no Flash), written in Cappuccino
Gentlemen, your excitement over skipping Flash is hugely misplaced.
If you load the app, you can see custom scrollbars and navigation, a complete lack of accessibility, non-native controls, and all those other things that cause geeks to hate Flash. What, to the end user, is the benefit of this being done with JavaScript instead of Flash? You can get the patronage of the 0.000001% of web users who don’t have Flash installed? (Sadly, I don’t think Richard Stallman needs many wireframes drawn)
Gruber’s definition of “true web app” and mine greatly differ. Clue: If it’s completely unusable on the iPhone Safari browser, it doesn’t matter if it’s built in JavaScript, Flash or Microsoft Visual Fortran 2012. It’s not a “true web app”
Rather ace Flashgame, now available for the iPhone. Interesting sidenote: Reviews in iTunes are rather overwhelmed by their stupid decision to include a review in the app description containing the word “faggotry”.

A worthy follow-up to “Achievement Unlocked”. One level Flash game, playable many MANY different ways.
Outstanding interactive infographic from the New York Times. Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics on how Americans spend their time, sliceable by demographic sectors.
OS X Safari users: Install this! Blocks Flash until you click on the object in Safari (and other WebKit-based applications). A way to mitigate the risk of the Flash exploit without completely nuking Flash Player from your machine.
All current versions of Flash Player are remotely exploitable on all platforms. “This vulnerability is being actively exploited.” Only workaround is to uninstall Flash Player.

Another lovely piece of Flash game poetry from Daniel Benmergui.
So much imagination in one little game. Only $3, and well worth it if you like flashgames like Grow Cube or Feed the Head.

A nice enough advert, but the Flash design by Vimeo to enhance it is gorgeous and unexpected.

Answering the question: If God created Flash intros, would they be AWESOME or what?
Awesome atmospheric platformer, where you can only stand on what you can see.
